It's like the Simpson's movie--it was a really great idea about 5-10 years ago, but doing it now kind of shows people have lost touch with reality. The levels of troops we're talking about sending over there will be ineffective. For us to win this militarily and get everything under control, we would need to double or triple the number of troops we have over there for at least several years. Ike Skelton gets it right:
