Seth Leibsohn notes the incredible sacrifice of 77-year old professor and Holocaust survivor Liviu Librescu, who used his own body as a shield against the shooter at Virginia Tech so that his students could escape.
Prof. Librescu survived the attempted extermination of the Jewish people in the Holocaust, lived through the oppression of Communist Romania, and finally came to freedom in Israel and then the United States. His brave end at Blacksberg is a reminder that in even the darkest of times, heroism can still be found.
