A Believable Conspiracy…

Now that the federal government has banned the use of VIP travel lines (even though that is hardly a matter of federal jurisdiction) Glenn Reynolds notes that this may be a way to highlight the inefficiency of federal government "services". Having the chattering classes (I love that term!) have to go through the rediculous lines that these moves would make, Reynolds argues, will open their eyes to the true nature of federal control. Unfortunately, I just can’t buy it. First, the chatterers are so insulated from reality that they still wouldn’t mind, and second, I doubt that President Bush would be willing to have the airlines become collateral damage in such a deal.
