It appears that the assassin of Pim Fortuyn may have been a radical environmental activist opposed to fur farming in the Netherlands. The motivation for the killing of Fortuyn was over a policy of overturning a ban on the farming of animals for fur. Personally, if convicted, I’d like to see this idiot fed to a mob of starved mink, but I doubt that will happen. If ever there were a reason to reinstate the death penalty in Europe, this would be it.
