Bush Backs Down

President Bush has
essentially dismissed the EPA report on global warming
today, a move that’s not altogether unexpected given the flak he’s gotten from conservatives. It’s clear that this report was a massive mistake, and while disavowing its conclusions is a good first step, a good next move would be one in which the White House clearly sets their position on global warming. Bush needs to act assertively and with conviction on both foreign and domestic policy else he will start to lose the political capital he’s gotten since September 11.
