A poll of Palestinians shows that the goal of the intifada is not a Palestinian state or peace
but the destruction of Israel. Are we really to believe that giving these people self-rule is going to make the situation better? It’s clear that unless there is a real shift in attitudes, peace is not going to be possible between the Israelis and the Palestinians any time soon.
