Ralph Peters is normally a pretty astute and interesting writer, but this piece descends into Coulter-esque invective. Yeah, Dean’s a jackass, but playing the Hitler card is more for the left-wing moonbats at MoveOn.org. You can tear down Dean easily without looking like a raving nutbag yourself… but facile comparisons with the Third Reich ain’t the way to do it.
UPDATE: Not surprisingly, the Anti-Defamation League has a critical response to this column. Peters stepped over the line, and he should apologize and move on.
