I’ve made some upgrades to the site over the past few days, including increased protection from the comments spam attacks plaguing Movable Type blogs recently. These changes including improvements to the anti-spam blacklist as well as renaming the comments script to avoid automated hacks. If you’re getting a 404 when trying to post comments, clear the cache on your browser.
I’ve also done some tuning so that rebuilds of the site should go much faster and use less disk and processor time on the server, which should increase site responsiveness. Since moving to BlogHosts the frequent timeouts with the database should no longer be a problem, and comments should post much more quickly.
