The fighters holed up in the Imam Ali Shrine have agreed to leave the Shi’a holy site and the shrine is to be taken over by Shi’ite Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani (an opponent of Moqtada al-Sadr.
It is certainly good that the fighters have been removed from the mosque, but this situation will not end until Moqtada al-Sadr is brought to justice for his crimes.
UPDATE: Or maybe not…
