A team at the University of Illinois believe that
they know the identity of the Watergate informant "Deep Throat" – Pat Buchanan. They believe that Buchanan’s anger over Nixon’s recognition of Communist China was enough to motivate him to leak information to Woodward and Bernstein. It seems a long shot, but the team believes that there’s enough evidence to finger Buchanan.
Let’s just hope this is the last time that Pat Buchanan is associated with the term "deep throat"…
