The One That Got Away

The Palestinians say that the attack on Hamas’ military leader derailed nascent peace plans that would have ended the suicide bombings in Israel.

Um, what’s Arabic for bullshit?

The Palestinians had no such plans. If previous occupations of the West Bank hadn’t motivated them to give up suicide bombing, it’s doubtful that anything would have. This is just another way for the Palestinians to show their support for peace to the Western media while fanning the fires of hatred at home. They have no intention of ending their terror campaign against Israel, and won’t until they’re defeated completely and utterly. Even if such plans were in the works, it would be another in a long string of broken cease-fire agreements. We’ve all heard the story before, and it’s not any more true than it was the last few dozen times it’s been told.
