Two former executives from WorldCom
have been arrested for complicity in the WorldCom accounting scandal. Former CFO Scott Sullivan and Controller David Myers were sent to the New York FBI office this morning.
It’s good that the government is cracking down on those responsible for these scandals. If corporate executives know that they’re going to be held personally accountable for their actions we won’t be seeing more Enrons or WorldComs in the future – and we won’t need government oversight boards either.
