Steven Hatfill is in the news again, after the Justice Department ensured his termination from his job at LSU. The Justice Department told LSU in an Aug. 1 e-mail that Hatfill could not work on any projects that received federal funding. For a land-grant college, that essentially means that Hatfill would be virtually useless.
If the government has evidence, than they need to formally level charges. The treatment Hatfill has received from the government is completely inappropriate and is more likely than not going to result in a major lawsuit.
