With about 30% of the votes in, Coleman is still pulling ahead by about 3 points. While the election is still very much in play, the gains for the GOP in the Senate in the East seem to show that the momentum is very much in favor of the GOP.
The fact that the GOP is doing so well in the midterm shows that American politics are shifting more towards the Republican end of the spectrum. Then again, a party dominated by Bill Clinton and Terry McAuliffe are getting exactly what the deserve.
Expect a new GOP majority in both houses.
