John Derbyshire writes a love letter to the Google search engine in today’s NRO. I have to share his sentiment. Between Google and Lexis-Nexis, a researcher has the equivalent of one of the world’s best reference libraries at their fingertips. Granted, I still find myself ensconced in the bowls of some old-fashioned brick-and-mortar library every so often, but that’s mainly for the quiet and a few databases I can’t afford on my own.
