MSNBC has an interesting piece on the decline of The New York Times. The article raises the issue of the Times‘ crusade against the Augusta National Golf Club and its men-only membership policy. It’s another example of how the media is attempting to craft policy rather than report it. The Times has absolutely no business telling a private organization who they should and should not admit.
It seems to me that the only private organization that the Times thinks should be allowed to deny membership to is itself – and only liberal activists need apply. All that needs to happen now is for Scientology to buy out the Times and the left would have their own version of the Washington Times.
