Drudge is reporting that the Saudis will allow us to use our bases in an attack against Iraq.
If true, this means that Saddam is really toast. It also probably means that the Saudis have realized that Saddam’s perfectly willing to lob a nuke at their oil fields if he thought it served his interests.

It is good to see the Saudis come to their senses on this. It would not have been good if they continued to play the spoiler.
Hrmm. I’d almost expect Saudi Arabia to be up in arms against this. With Iraq as a puppet state, we may not need them anymore.
