Inside Iraq

Sources are now confirming what I’ve long predicted: US troops have been in Iraq for months. Special Operations commandos have been targeting air defense sites, monitoring Scud launchers, and marking minefields in advance of an invasion. Much as we did with Afghanistan, our troops will already have a very good idea of what’s ahead long before they reach Iraq.

The United States is playing by the rules of 21st Century warfare, which is warfare that is based on intelligence as much as it on firepower. Given the groundwork that has been laid and the technological excellence of the US military one thing is clear: Saddam won’t know what hit him until it is entirely too late.
