NATO Agrees To Turkish Protection

Avoiding what could be a fatal crisis, NATO has now approved military protection under Article IV for Turkey in case of an attack against Iraq.

As to be expected, the French government still opposes the move.

While this may delay the crisis, it will be unlikey to entirely prevent it. NATO is rapidly losing the ability to be an effective international coalition, and despite the last-minute compromise over Turkey, the rift still runs deep.
