Inside The (Largely Empty) Minds Of The Peace Movement

I’ve always contended that the vast majority of the peace movement is made up of people who are fundamentally uninformed about world politics. This video bears that out with wickedly funny results. Watch as protestors get asked tough questions and struggle for answers. (Or angrily respond with anti-American propaganda).

There are logically sound arguments against the war in Iraq. Just don’t expect them to come from any of these people.

  1. So what’s your point? The vast majority of people in general are fundamentally uninformed about world politics. Moreover the vast majority seem to protest less for the issue at hand and more for the sake of protesting in general.

Take any protest for any issue. Try the same test. You’ll get the same results. Guaranteed.

Of course that could just be the pessimism speaking. 🙂

  2. Or it could be true- and this is coming from someone who does attend protests now and then.

Of course, I go to protests to meet people rather than make ideological statements… the last two I’ve been to have been rather kind to me. 🙂
