The Boston Globe is reporting that the first US strike has severely hampered Saddam’s ability to communicate with the Iraqi military. This is exactly what one would expect from a campaign designed to put the Iraqis into a state of disarray.
As I’ve said previously, this war is as much about the precise application of force as it is about "shock and awe". If we can effectively debilitate the Iraqi’s readiness with only 40 cruise missiles, just imagine what we can do when we really start hitting Saddam’s military machine.
