Changes…

I’m working on the next update to the site layout, but there’s a problem. I’ll be using transparent PNGs to do the header, and Internet Explorer for Windows does not handle transparent PNGs correctly. So those of you browsing with IE for Windows will not see the top banner as it was intended.

I’m not going to find a workaround for this. While IE for Windows has the largest marketshare right now, Mozilla is now more than stable enough for even Grandma to use. I’ve already spent enough time trying to get IE to behave properly, and I’m not going to bother anymore.

If you stick with IE with Windows the header won’t look right. (You’ll also be using a crappy browser, but that’s besides the point.) Other than that, everything else will work fine.

The moral of the story is that you should, if at all possible, upgrade to Mozilla or one of its derivatives. It’s free, it’s easy to use, and as Ayn Rand would say, it would be the rational thing to do.

UPDATE: There is a way to make things look relatively good in IE. I may implement it in the new design for compatibility, although I still strong recommend installing Mozilla.
