Nefertiti Found?

Queen Nefertiti, the wife of the ancient Egyptian heretic Akhenaten and the stepmother of King Tutankhamun may have had her mummy identified by archeologists from York University in the UK. The mummy had first been uncovered by French archeologists in 1898, but had not been examined in detail until recently.

The mummy is in poor condition, and scientists cannot positively identify it as Nefertiti, however, the pose and and date of the burial make it likely that it is the mummy of the whose name means "a beautiful woman has come".
