London’s Blackout

It appears as though London has had a major blackout today as the British power grid failed.

Thousands of people took to rain-soaked streets as dusk approached and pubs were packed with stranded commuters in scenes reminiscent of the blackout that hit North America earlier this month.

A spokesman for London Underground said 60 percent of the metro system had been affected, including most services in central London.

Well, if England hadn’t gone and deregulated their power industry…

Oh wait, they hadn’t.

  1. 100 people who don’t get the flu vaccination end up getting the flu. One person who gets the vaccination ends up with the flu. I guess that means nobody should ever get the flu vaccine right?
