I need a bit of advice, and since this site reaches an international and diverse audience, I figure this is as good a place as any.
I want to take a crash course in modern Arabic, either online or by using some kind of language tutor book. I’d like to be able at least to have a working knowledge of spoken Arabic and be able to read the alphabet by December.
Anyone have any recommendations as a good book or program? I have exprience with linguistics, I already speak fluent French, I can get by in Italian, and I’ve taken a year of Russian. If any one of my readers have some good pointers, feel free to send me an e-mail or leave a reply to this post.
trying to catch up on CIA’s worst mistake?
more seriously, congrats for the intention, and good luck with arabic. I downloaded some nice spanish learning programs over kazaa using basic keywords…
