Leni Rifenstahl, the infamous propagandist for the Third Reich and the director of Triumph of the Will has died at the age of 101.
Rifenstahl was a gifted filmmaker, but often an apologist for the Nazi regime. Triumph of the Will is a technical cinematic masterpiece, but also a warning of the way in which the morality of the individual can be swept away by collectivism and hate.
