Rep. Bill Janklow’s press conference today was simply beyond any belief. Janklow was incoherent, unable to even remember the name of the man he killed. It is clear that Janklow is no longer mentally capable of being a member of Congress.

Janklow has indicated he’s taking the Gary Condit/James Traficant approach–go down fighting until the bitter end. My guess is he’ll finish out his term, unless the Republican party strong-arms him out of it, thinking that they’re best chance of holding this seat long-term is to try to have a semi-incumbent holding it for next November’s election.
Stephanie should have the seat, she’s the best candidate and she almost beat the bastard last year.
