How Not To Be Credible

Former CIA counter-terrorism official Larry Johnson appeared on PBS’s Newshour program to refute Bob Novak’s claim that Valerie Plame was not a covert operative but an analyst at Langley.

Johnson made this statement:

I worked with this woman. She started training with me. She has been under cover for three decades.

The problem with that?

According to The Washington Post Valerie Plame is 40 years old.

Somehow I doubt the CIA recruits in the fourth grade…

  1. He didn’t say he worked with her for 30 years. He could have meant they worked together in the 80’s, the 90’s, and the 00’s (or however you say that).
