The latest American Research Group tracking poll in New Hampshire shows the Kerry campaign plummeting even more – Clark now beats Kerry in this key state by 20% to 11%. This is a considerable drop, and now puts Kerry in a distant third for New Hampshire.
New Hampshire is Kerry’s "must-win" state. If he makes a poor showing there, it’s hard to see the point of continuing. A third place finish would effectively show that Kerry’s campaign was now out of gas and effectively out of the race.
It looks like Kerry’s betting the house on his campaign wasn’t the smartest idea he’s ever had…
