28 people are currently confirmed dead after a massive car bomb destroyed the Mount Lebanon Hotel in Baghdad.
The goal of these terrorists is to get the US out so that Iraq can fall into anarchy and sectarian violence. Allowing this to happen would give them everything they want and leave the Iraqi people with a shattered state. We must continue with the process of bringing democracy and civil society to Iraq so that future generations of Iraqis do not have to endure the same terror their predecessors have faced.
