Allow me to tweak this line from Bush’s proposed speech: “this nation is not about doing what is popular”.
“This nation’s national security will not be subject to the preferences and opinions of a select few foreign nations.”
Or something like that.
Bottom Line: Bush is a fighter; Kerry is not. Kerry wants to wait until the next attack…the next disaster…before he would even attempt to fight.
Bush fights terrorists overseas with the 1 Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne. Kerry wants to respond to a terrorist attack on our soil with firefighters.
As someone else stated, Kerry is a Neville Chamberlain when we need a Churchill…and when we have a Churchill in Bush.
Tweak:
“Our soldiers have fought and died in places like Omaha Beach, Iwo Jima, AND FALLUJAH selflessly giving their lives for the cause of freedom. That is the American mission, and that mission will continue.”
Reinforce the Iraq sacrifices as being in the same vein as WW2. Add Fallujah or some other area, Baghdad? to the list?
Someone has to ake Kerry what the price will be for France’s “cooperation” Time to read up on the XYZ affair.

You bring up an excellent point…there’s no telling what Kerry might give away for some nominal “cooperation” and butt-kissing from France…
The more I think about it, the more I realize that a Kerry presidency would be an utter tragedy for this country…
Plus, I could never vote for a guy to be president who (like Kerry) authored a book with a cover photo of the American flag upside down mocking the famous Marine scene at Iwo Jima…or a guy (like Kerry) who had falsely accused our soldiers of systemic war crimes…

Kerry has pretty much been telegraphing to france and germany to update thier Christmas Wish List. They know that can only expect coal from bush, with thier current posture.
If kerry gets in, he will have to deliver on france’s cooperation. which I’m sure, france will make gestures in the beginning, just to set the hook. They will soon back off and require various concessions and apologies, just so that we can be “pals”.
