Rumors have it that US and coaltion forces are preparing for a major offensive in the Sunni Triangle, as US, coalition, and Iraqi troops clash with terrorists in cities such as Baquba and Fallujah.
The conventional wisdom is that the US would never do anything before the elections. The conventional wisdom was also that we’d have at least two weeks of aerial bombardment before the invasion of Iraq as well. I have a feeling the CW is wrong in this case as well.
