Sore Losers – Again

The Democratic Party proves once again that it’s the part of no class by a pointless and idiotic delay of the certification proceedings for the reelection of President Bush.

Bush won Ohio by well over 100,000 votes, after a recount. The counties where there were supposedly election problems happened to be counties that were run by Democratic election supervisors. The Democrats have no one to blame but themselves.

A shameful and partisan display which only serves to illustrate the reasons why they lost.

  1. You neglect to mention that voting machines and other less-than-trustworthy methods of voting were in place in these same “counties run by Democratic election supervisors.” Anybody who paid attention realized that Ohio’s Democrat counties were ghettoized by Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to reduce voting and maximize the margin of error. I don’t think the Democrats have anything to gain by challenging the Ohio vote count (nor do I think they believe they will gain anything). Bush clearly won Ohio. Nonetheless, the more scrutiny that can be placed on the dirty tricks going on at the ballot boxes (voting procedures designed to create long lines and deter turnout, the installment of voting machines whose manufacturer said he’d do “whatever it takes” to make sure Bush won Ohio), the better the likelihood of uniform voting standards state-by-state, or ideally nationally, so that there is less chance of ambiguity and GOP foul play.

  2. What’s shameful is that we simply don’t have enough Democrats with the spine to stand with Boxer, so it’s all going to come to nothing.
