Yahoo! is celebrating its 10th birthday today — hard to believe it’s been that long. In some ways, they’ve been eclipsed by Google for searching, but they’ve still kept up a great level of innovation and continue to offer some very nifty web services.
What makes me feel really old is that I remember when Yahoo! was still hosted at akebono.stanford.edu — which in Internet terms makes me a creaking old fogey…
Ten years ago… yes, I recall accessing Yahoo! on Lynx on an old Macintosh laptop at Whittier Middle School about that time…
