The leaders of Pakistan and India have
agreed to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the situation in Kashmir. Hopefully this will be the first step to some kind of security arrangement that will ease tensions between the two nuclear powers.
This is also another victory for President Putin, who seems to be leading Russia into a much stronger position on the world stage. With his overtures to Washington and his support for anti-terrorist acts, and his economic reforms, it’s looking like Putin could lead Russia out of its current woes and into a vibrant and strong nation.
