TrackBack is a new feature to Moveable Type that allows sites to "ping" each other when one site comments on anothers entry. If that sounds as clear as mud to you, don’t worry, because I’m still confused about it too. However, there’s potential in this new feature, and that’s why I’m jumping on the TrackBack bandwagon.
Basically, any other blog that uses Moveable Type can now ping one of my entries and have it show up in the TrackBack link at the bottom of my post. Which means all the reader needs to do is click that link and it will take them to that post. Think of it as a more intelligent hyperlink that lets you track topics across many blogs. As more and more blogs start using this feature, hopefully it will become more and more popular, and more and more useful.
