California Democrats have been going on the offensive and lauching attack ads against gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon and California Republicans. The results of those attacks? Increased support for California Republicans.
California may be the state that bucks the odds for the Republicans in terms of gubernatorial races. While the Democrats have a good shot at many statehouses, Gray Davis is extremely vulnerable and if Simon can stay on message and effectively fight off liberal interest groups, he has a good shot at being the next Goverrnor of the State of California.
