Leftist guerillas with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (more commonly known by their Spanish acronym FARC) have set off mortar rounds at the inauguration of the new Colombian President. This group is known for a pattern of attacks with homemade mortars that often miss their intended targets and kill innocent bystanders.
Groups like FARC are emblematic of the real face of the radical Marxist left. Their real objectives are the systematic terrorization of anyone who stand in their way. They claim to represent the powerless, but have no qualms about killing innocent bystanders. While the radical left may raise hell, our support of the legitimate governments of states like Colombia offer far more hope than the Marxist radicals who would have Colombia join the ranks of other blighted and failed Marxist social experiments.
