Rep. Bob Barr, one of the House impeachment managers during the Clinton impeachment, has lost to challenger Rep. John Linder. Both were solid conservatives, and held nearly identical views. However, Barr was always unafraid to put himself in the crosshairs by serving as an impeachment manager, and sponsoring legislation to rescind the ban on assassinations of foreign terrorist leaders. Linder has a big set of shoes to fill, but at least we know his mind is in the right place.
