When a
book that criticizes anti-Americanism in European politics is at #1 on on the French Amazon site one wonders if the French aren’t quite as bad as they sometimes seem.
Then again, it’s always helpful to remember that the European people are generally friendly, helpful, and like Americans. (Partly because they admire us, and partly because of tourist money.) Even the French will be rather nice to you if you make even the token effort to speak French. While the European leadership ascibes to the Hillary Clinton brand of arrogant socialism, the people aren’t that much different than you and I. Some of them are starting to wake up to the threat that radical Islam presents, and our common bonds of Western civilization are far stronger than the international Left knows.
