The hundreds of flowers sent to Wellstone campaign headquarters after Sen. Wellstone’s death were later given to help console battered women.
Say what you want about Wellstone, but things like that are why so many Minnesotans on both sides of the political spectrum couldn’t help but like the guy personally if not politically.
