I’m sure Penn is smart enough to know, even if you’re not, that the best he can hope for in Iraq, and it is important, is maybe learning what OUR government is hiding and misrepresenting.
As for the left only caring about the bad things the US has done, I’d say, ‘Someone has to care about those things – and the quasi-fascist right certainly doesn’t’. That’s what a patriot to liberty, truth and justice does, he concerns himself with the crimes for which he has some responsibility – especially if those crimes seem to form a pattern.
