Tom Daschle is now saying that he will not run for President in 2004. He claims that the reason is because "his passion lies in the Senate."
Well, he may have a passion for lies in the Senate, but it’s clear his real reasons are somewhat more pragmatic. His name is mud after the DNC’s midterm debacle – meaning he cannot get enough funding or support to get a real campaign going.
Too bad for the Democrats. Now they’ll have to send another sacrifcial lamb into 2004.
Well if we must sacrifice I say send in Hillary. She’ll get us back the far left from the Greens and get her out of the political scene for a while.
The biggest irony here is that she could probably do better than most of the democratic contenders save Edwards.
