Already, the Senate is busy fighting over committee assignments, office space, and procedural matters.
Until the dispute is resolved and the Senate passes a new “organizing resolution” for its committees, new senators will not get committee assignments and Democrats will stay on as chairmen even though Republicans won control of the Senate in last November’s elections.
Hmmm… I suppose these partisan squabbles are part of the new political tone in Washington. After all, it’s not like we’re in a war, or an economic downturn or anything like that…
And people wonder why conservatives are skeptical of the ability of government to get anything done…
