The New York Daily News reports that Iraq has sent operatives to support anti-war protesters. If this is true, it’s a real bombshell. The anti-war groups acting in the US have been accused of being complicit with the Hussein regime – now it appears that some may be, wittingly or unwittingly.
There are those who have reasoned and valid objections to the war in Iraq and are not acting out of a sense of anti-Americanism. Unfortunately, groups like ANSWER are making sure that their views are thoroughly discredited in the eyes of the American public. Quixotically, the anti-war movement could be one reason why support for an Iraqi invasion has ballooned in recent days.
