Another top figure in al-Qaeda
has been arrested in Pakistan by the CIA. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was believed to be one of the masterminds of the September 11, 2001 attacks, as well as a planner for other Qaeda operations. This arrest is being called one of the key arrests in the war on terror yet.
It appears that there’s no reason why a military action against Iraq will in any way degrade the kind of investigation, policework, and intelligence resources needed to keep the heat on al-Qaeda.
