Regime Change In Tehran

Michael Ledeen, who has done more legwork on the developing Iran situation than anyone, has a good backgrounder on the riots in Iran. The situation in Iran is more than just student protests – the vast majority of the Iranian people want change and they want it now. These protests are not just confined to Tehran either, cities across the nation are joining in the chorus of dissent against the authoritarian regime.

This is something that is far bigger than the scant media coverage would make it seem. The mullahs in Iran may be forced out sooner than anyone could have thought possible. Just as the US missed the clear signs of the Iranian revolution of 1979, this next democratic revolution also appears to be receiving nowhere near the level of attention that it should.
