Ernie Fletcher has won the governorship in Kentucky.
UPDATE: CNN has also called the race in Mississippi for the GOP. This is the Democrat’s third straight electoral loss at the state level. This is a further sign that the Democrats have lost the South, and if they have lost the South they don’t have a very good chance at winning in 2004.

Now just to nominate Howard Dean and 2004 will be Caribbean cruise of a year for good ol’ Karl 🙂
According to the numbers I’ve seen, more Republican states have flopped to Democrat than Dem states have flipped to GOP in this last round of Gubernatorial elections. That doesn’t sound like a huge GOP victory to me.
