Former VP Al Gore has announced that he will endorse Howard Dean for 2004. He will then travel to Iowa to campaign for the former Vermont governor.
This is a major boost for Dean, furthering his momentum, and helping cement his bond with the Angry Democrat demographic.
As I mentioned earlier, it’s looking like Dean is a fait accompli for the Democratic nod unless something very momentous happens between now and March. Considering that Kerry’s campaign is sputtering and Clark’s is still running behind, it looks like Dean is in. Karl Rove must be smiling.
