It looks like the release date for the feature-film version of the excellent (but short-lived) series Firefly has been pushed back to September. Serenity had been scheduled to debut in April, but the studio (wisely) decided that putting a small SF film against some big-budget movie set a long time ago in a galaxy far away was not a great idea.
The studio seems happy with the film, and if this gives it a chance to be properly marketed and get its legs, so be it. Although I have a feeling it’s going to be a long year if I’m going to have to wait until September for my Firefly fix…
I suppose you’re right. Damn, I do love that show (got the DVD). I am not a Sci-Fi fan, but I can’t wait for this movie..
